  A few entries back, I made the observation that AP photographers have a knack for capturing people in their worst possible light. Apparently, I was not the first to make that keen observation:

The picture speaks for itself and you needn't even read the accompany article, though the number of puns sprinkled throughout meant that I would have had a hard time not linking. I just decided to spare myself the anguish and post it anyway. Enjoy!

  There's a message up on sci-fi author Elizabeth Bear's blog responding to a series of recent events that befell an acquaintance of hers, respected Canadian author Dr. Peter Watts, as he was crossing the border from the United States back into Canada (as I understand it).
